MTI faculty are available for a limited amount of consulting. We work with schools, non-profits, businesses and colleges in a variety of ways, such as workshops, trainings and facilitated discussions. Our goal is to move individuals and organizations toward philosophical and practical change in support of diversity, equity, and multicultural education.

We work with each institution to develop an understanding of the needs, then collaborate in the creation of a relevant program. Our approach is to balance the need for practical tools with the need for the personal work required to implement these tools.

Areas of expertise:

- Curriculum

- Pedagogy and Policy

- Organizational Change

“Although MTI facilitators had not worked with museum educators before, they were enthusiastic about our program and worked with us closely to find the best activities for our goals. Our participants raved about presentation and found it extremely helpful for reflecting not only on their own teaching practices, but also for re-thinking how their institution approaches inclusion in admission, programming, and exhibitions. The facilitators created a safe and comfortable atmosphere for discussing sensitive topics, and raised thought-provoking questions that will resonate with all of us long after the workshop.”

"Carroll School sought consultation on how to begin the process of educating our faculty and staff about issues of equity and inclusion. Our investigations led us to the Multicultural Teaching Institute, and we were delighted with the support, advice, insights, strategic plan, and friendship that emerged. We could not have taken on this essential project without the MTI partnership."
